Womenary was merely an "idea" for several years before an official board was formed in the summer of 2005. Initial board members included: Susan Howard, Linda Lesniewski, Mo McSwane, Amy Avants, Kim Prothro, and Ann Snyder.

In March 2006, twenty-one women participated in the pilot class, "Bibliology: How We Got the Bible."  63 women enrolled in the first full-scale class, "Hermeneutics: How to Read the Bible for All It's Worth," in September 2006. This was followed the next semester by 80 women enrolling to study "Systematic Theology: An Orderly Approach to the Study of God."

It is Womenary's desire to continue to provide quality classes to equip women, giving them confidence and the ability to accurately handle the Word of God so that their lives may be changed and the lives of those around them!
